make something day seventy-four

Today I made a red bow tie pin. My friend, Torrie, made and designed the bow stamp so I can use it for my shop. I make them to order in a bunch of different colors and each one comes in an adorable little box.

make something day seventy-three

Today I made a couple of bikini tops which will be going out to new homes tomorrow morning. I've been super busy with shop orders, spring cleaning and a few other projects and responsibilities, so I'm definitely taking advantage of any little chance that I get to sit back and crochet.

Happy Pi Day!
We ate pie, thanks to Brittany for bringing it over.
The circumference of our pie was 25.12in. and it was delicious.

make something day seventy-one

Today I made a simple hand chain. I thought that it would look nice plain, with nothing else on it but now I'm beginning to think that it needs something more.

make something day seventy

Good morning sunshine! Today, I tried to crochet a sun, hung out with my friends on the roof of our
house and watched the sunset.

make something day sixty-nine

Today I made a bow out of a brown hemp cord. I was wondering what to put in on when Torrie suggested that I attach it to the hook I used. Now it's perfect!

make something day sixty-eight

Today I made myself a new bracelet. I made it just by using a crochet hook and chaining. I added the beads to a hemp cord first and then started hooking loops until it was long enough. It's an easy project for anyone that knows how to crochet and you don't even have to wear it as a bracelet! You could wear it as a necklace, a belt, an anklet or whatever. I actually have a box full of wrap bracelets like this that I haven't done anything with yet.

make something day sixty-seven

Today I made: a bag of scarves. Actually I only made the purple, or "fig" one, I just thought the two looked nice together. This scarf is in my shop in a bunch of different colors and it's exciting to see which colors people choose, make them special and send them off to new homes. <3

make something day sixty-six

Today I made: a doggy scarf for Six! Yes, he loves it. His birthday was yesterday so it's kind of like a late birthday present. The weave is so loose because it's finger-crocheted, meaning I passed on using a crochet hook and just used my thumb and index finger. It took a minute to get used to but it's really fun once you get the motions down. I used Homespun yarn by Lion's Brand, it's perfect for fingering because it's thick and bulky.
